Shoe Love is True Love
Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm a girl who loves her heels. I like 'em high, I like 'em colorful and I like wearing 'em often. I'm short, so high heels (and big hair) add a little extra strut to my stride. Putting on heels makes everything a little more glamorous, and like any card carrying high heel shoe lover, I'm constantly working on keeping up that Shoe Game.
My love of tall shoes sometimes leaves me wishing that I had interchangeable feet like Mrs. Potato Head. Ever heard the saying "Beauty knows no pain?" Well beauty knows pain, but the desire to look fierce makes a girl power through it.
I may be a slave to fashion at times, but I am not a complete fool. Bad knees run in my family and I fully intend to fulfill my goal of becoming a sassy old lady in the very distant future. I've learned to balance my love for high heels with an ever increasing collection of cute flats. I have a fondness for leather oxfords, anything in a brightly colored suede, and I'm always on the hunt for the perfect pair in a pony hair cheetah print. Hey, just because I have to counter the effects of my high heel usage does not mean that I am going to start running around town looking any 'ole kind of way.
Having said that, even I have to admit that there are times when neither heels nor flats are the answer. Sometimes the occasion calls for a pair of kicks, Sometimes I reach for my well loved black low top Chuck Taylors.
My Chucks have been with me for years and I will not part with them until they literally fall apart. However on days that call for a bit more glam than my Chucks can muster, I reach for one of the newest additions to my collection.
Meet my metallic Pumas
(Sorry Chucks, I still love you though!)
I have the Silver Basket trainers and the Holographic Rose Gold Basket trainers. Every time I lace up a pair of these beauties, I think of the quote I saw on Pinterest. 'Shoe Love Equals True Love #Nordstrom'.
Enough said.
Although I bought both pair of mine from Ebay.
